A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing
Maya is currently feeding the chicks
33 arrives back with the fish
33 leaves the fish, flies off and Maya tidies up then snuggles back down on the chicks

Raining again and Maya shelters the chicks.
33 arrives for some fish .. none on the nest, just a scrap which he picks up, eats and then flies off.
But I think there is a fish piece - well there was the last time I looked in and I believe that Maya is covering it!
Edit: 20:14
Still raining and Maya continues to shelter the chicks. She rose a little and the fish is under her! :-D
So there is a fish supper for the little ones ...... Off now ... BFN
Looks dry this morning
Morning Patily and All
Another rain shower - 33 has landed with a fish but Maya is not getting up but continues to shelter the chicks
33 now present. No sign of fish and Maya looking fast asleep!

Birdies LG DU update.
Clicked back and he's gone.
Morning KAREN
Morning Mike .. Is that not a small fish piece in 33's left talon? Probably not but I thought it was!
And looking again, Maya does look asleep. I thought a rain shower had come on and she was sheltering the chicks ... Sorry!
I've enlarged it right up Karen and I don't think so. Essentially it wasn't a new offering which we might have expected at this time of day. Either way Maya seems really tired.
