HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY EASTER (to those who celebrate the holiday).
Last week's Chat thread is here.
Everyone have a wonderful week.
Thanks OG. Now that Amber is standing up, it's surprising how tall she is - from a distance, she could easily be a three year old. Our Eldest is six feet, but her mother is my height - 5ft 5ish. She will be towering over us in no time!
Just reading about all your news and notice Lindy that you were in the Canary Islands? Dau was there a few years back and did the trip up Mount Teide, quite cold when you got to the top and can catch a lot of people out.Love the colourful artwork.
Glad you like your new phone, WendyB. Have fun getting to know all it does then you can drive people mad by ringing them or texting - only kidding. lol.

The lunch out was not a celebration but we do tend to do this sort of thing on a Bank Holiday, makes a nice change from me having to always think "what do I cook today".
The top 3 in the Classic FM chart were 1.Lark Ascending, 2. Rackmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto and 3. Vaughn Williams' Theme on Thomas Tallis. 3 great pieces.
After the cancellation of OH's op he rang the hospital on Tuesday and eventually managed to speak to someone who has given a provisional date for 18th April. We await confirmation and hope that it happens this time.
Brenda - thanks for the info re Margo, do hope she can shake that chest infection off and starts to feel a lot better soon.
Lindybird - love the pics of your hols and also of your grandchildren, how lovely to spend Easter altogether as a family.
Afraid that didn't happen this year as the men were at a rugby match Easter Sunday pm. Never mind there's always another year.
OG - sorry to learn you are not feeling too good. Happy Birthday and hope you get your birthday lunch out at a later date. Get well soon.
Off to the gym again tomorrow. It was quiet at first on Tuesday and managed to do 10 lengths on the trot. It probably won't happen again but can but try.
Take care all, thoughts are with those who are feeling under the weather.
Interesting the Top classics UpOver compared to DownUnder. A few years ago our Classic FM radio had a top100. 1. Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, 2. Lark Ascending, 3. Beethoven No 9 “Choral”. Aussies voted Rachmaninov 2nd piano as 13 and Vaughan Williams' Theme on Thomas Tallis as 25.
.
Linda – Intriguing sculpture of whale. Lovely pics of gr-kids.
OG – no no not a sore throat to spoil your b-day lunch. Get well soon.
Annette – OH is the only help that Dau gets now. He does 2 afternoons, on kindy days, arriving by 3 pm to mind twins while Dau collects Miss4, then staying on to amuse/distract kids while Dau gets tea. As MissJ rarely has day nap, sometimes he takes her in pusher around the block. Result a short nap & less cranky child by teatime.
So tedious typing with one hand. Had cat scan this morn, very quick, actually taken in early, see doc tomorrow. Bleah. The results are sealed with sticker “to be opened by doc only”. Can I borrow Bonnie to partly destruct envelope?
Evening all:
Lynette: The Vaughn Williams piece is wonderful; that and Lark Ascending are quintessentially English - at least to my Anglo-Saxon-Gallic ears. :-) I hate to think how far behind I've got in my workout schedule and how slowly I'll have to get back into the routine (after the family visit).
AQ: What?! Vaughn Williams #25 on Down Under's hit parade? Eegads! Well, as I said, it is quintessentially English. "to be pened by doc only"? What a nerve. Whose wrist is it anyway? I can hear it now: "My friend's dog ate the envelope." Do hope Dau will find she can cope just fine long before your wrist heals and that your OH sticks to his 2-afternoon routine.
Heather: Sorry to hear French connection is creating angst.
Have a good Thursday everyone.
OG A very happy birthday to you from us both. Have a great day.
Good Morning and Happy Birthday to OG, who I hope is not feeling too bad with her cold today.
OG sorry, I just read you were not feeling well yesterday. Get well soon.
~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OG! ~
