HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY EASTER (to those who celebrate the holiday).
Last week's Chat thread is here.
Everyone have a wonderful week.
I havn't had chance to describe our lovely Easter. We went to stay with our Eldest, so had fun with Amber on the first day. Then on Sunday, we took Amber for a walk to the swings which seemed a good idea at the time.....after she had had fun, and we had also admired some dogs out for a walk, it started to drizzle. This quickly turned to proper rain, and I looked towards the large local supermarket for shelter, but of course as it was Easter Sunday, it was shut! We ran down the road to some smaller shops, where we found a grocers with a big awning outside. We sheltered underneath this for 20 mins. as it poured down. Suddenly some blue skies appeared and we were able to get back. Meanwhile our Eldest & his new wife had been busily cooking, and shortly after we returned our Youngest arrived for lunch, with his family. It was just so good to be all together, and share news and let the children play. They had to stay inside as it was so wet, but we all got along. Best day of this year!
Thanks for all posts - not got much to say, and feeling rotten with a sore throat all day, now the sneezing and raised temp. Did some greenhouse work before and after lunch, but now aching all over. Still hoping for my birthday lunch tomorrow and Daffodil Day in Cockermouth Saturday, but looking less likely.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Oh, OG, so sorry that you are feeling rotten. I hope that you do get your birthday lunch xx
Sorry to hear that, OG - Hope it's short lived and doesn't spoil your day tomorrow.
Pics of Grandchildren alert.....
Tomasz and Amber watching TV rather too closely.....
Matthew giggling with his father & Grandad:
Amber wondering if there is more chocolate cake - she looks older than 19 months, doesn't she?!
Tomasz is growing up already!
OH No, OG. You can't be ill tomorrow, although your description of how you feel doesn't sound good. You did say that your OH was not feeling good, when we spoke, and 'J' has been ill recently. I hope it is not your turn now. Take care. X
Lindybird: Cuties galore!
OG: Boo hiss to colds and sore throats. Do hope you can make one - or both - of the upcoming outings.
Your grandchildren look adorable, Linda. They have grown so quickly.
Thanks. I love them all to death. We didn't think we would have any grandchildren.
They look more grown every time we see them, because they all live so far from us.
LINDA - Amber is amazing - so grown-up-looking already, no longer a toddler but a little girl! Tomasz is still the same handsome boy with those lovely eyelashes, and Matthew is still the same smiley chap! You can be proud of all of them! So pleased you could have a day with them all together.
