The purpose of this thread is to record observations, activity and captures of Rutland’s Manton Bay nest throughout the season.
The nest at Manton Bay has been in use since 2007 and its history can be found here.
I am sure I speak for us all in wishing Maya and Blue 33(11) a safe journey home and for another successful season at Manton Bay.
Camera still down.
Camera still down. In fact I think it has been down all morning. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Cams back up. .. just caught one flying off
What a dull, dreary looking day ... where's the sun gone?
Maya and 33 are continuing with the nest building. 33 has been away a couple of times, each time returning with a stick.
Just love seeing those wings

Maya has been alone on the nest the last 10 mins or so. 33 appear, mates and takes off again
33 arrived back with a stick which he fell over on landing :-D Maya and 33 fiddle about placing it then 33 takes off again. Maya busies herself tidying the nest and working on the all important nest cup .
Maya and 33 have certainly entertained us looking at the number of post in March so considering this it is probably best to have the Manton Bay thread monthly so I have opened a new thread for April.
I hope no-one has any objections to this.
