HAPPY NEW WEEK!
HAPPY NEW MOON on Monday!
HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR -- The Year of the Monkey -- on Monday!
Last week's Chat thread is here.
Everyone have a great week!
ANNETTE hope that Lightning will be OK. Don't know what else to say but I know that you will be getting good advice.
OG Look after that skin! Looking forward to hearing that things are better.
MARGO- So happy that you had two good evenings out, the memories will surely be with you for a good while xx
AQ I should have changed the locks after they all left home - most of them are on bungee cords!
Another occupied day today but in a nice family way.
If yours are on Bungee cords, HEATHER, I think J's elastic must have snapped! Pleased you had a nicely occupied day!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Fascinating encounter between a Raven and a Snowy Owl. If you watch it, be sure to read the commentary below the video by naturalist Bernd Heinrich, the author of The Mind of the Raven. He said the Raven was just curious and "having fun" and the Owl "was not scared in the least". LOL
Evening all:
OG: I'm afraid it might indeed be a case of old age with Lightning. Her big appetite was due to diabetes, which seems to have settled down. Good that you have something to help with the skin problem. Sounds painful!
Margo: What a nice weekend, but two nights out would probably make a sleepyhead out of me too. Hope the chemo isn't too rough.
Lindybird: So who won the battle of the curtains? Them or you?
Diane: Love that video! Looks like the crow had made a bet that it could rattle the owl - and lost.
Off out early in the morning, so will catch up when I can. Take care all.
Good Morning. Sunny!!! Hooray!! Have got all the dirty dog beds in the wash :-)
Annette - Sorry if Lightning is getting slower, but I know you'll take good care of her.
The curtain problem is to be addressed today - I got sidetracked yesterday by other things. Found a bag full of material, which I'm going to pass on to our d.in.law as she has taken up quilting in the last few years. Cleaned a medicine cabinet which has a child proof fastening, and hope to pass that on, too.
Bonnie just escaped by jumping over the new four foot fence........ My OH was out in the garden, tidying up after erecting it the other day.......
She has had another tour of the neighbourhood gardens.
Oh LINDY :-(((((
ANNETTE Sorry Lightning is not so good. It is so hard when our much loved 4 legged friends get on in years. It is the penalty we pay for bringing them into our lives.
LINDY think this is a case of "boing" said Zebedee. Bonnie must have springs in her paws.
That must be it, Dibnlib!
The garden slopes slightly, with nearer the house having the fence a couple of inches lower, because there's a very low wall made of old cobblestones under the furthermost part. So now.....after this morning, my OH has spent yet another couple of hours raising the lowest part and putting bricks into the gap underneath... hopefully it will work, but only time will tell....
