Good Morning Everyone. Another quite dull, cloudy morning here. We both enjoyed my birthday meal yesterday, three courses. Felt so full last night, but surprisingly we are both hungry this morning.
Lynette, Good to read that you are feeling better and have started swimming again.
Linda, Bonnie is really challenging your OH. I do hope the new fence is the answer to her escaping out of the garden.Good luck altering the length of the curtains.
Margo, I hope all goes well at your pre chemo blood test today.
Yes, Brenda: fingers crossed for Margo today.
My OH has managed to get most of the fence up: just finishing off needed now, such as nailing it to where it meets the wooden shed to make it more escape proof, and cutting the tops off the posts he's used, to make them neat and level. Today he has gone off to sis-in-laws, who has expressed worry that Bonnie and some of the other dogs she cares for may escape from the bottom of her garden: He is going to help erect a new fence there, too!! (although its only a matter of four panels this time).
I am just going to take a look at the curtains: I realised that I've been putting it off because I knew it would be a difficult task, altering them, as they're lined. But I have my halo on, as I took a bag of books to charity the other day, and also waiting in the hall is a picture which is going, plus a bag with five handbags in it!
Good Morning all just to say after a couple of days of feeling poorly, I am feeling much better today. So happy now that Joe Brown show will have us both in the audience. So looking forward to it. Off to have some lunch now and then a nap to ensure I am on top form.
Take care all and I will post again tomorrow.
Margo x
Wow, Linda, your husband really is a busy man. I have been clearing out bedding for a charity, which is asking for them. I seem to have accumulated so many sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers, which I know I will never use and are just taking up so much cupboard space. I would rather that somebody in need, will be able to make use of them and also doing me a favour by clearing my cupboard.
Hooray, Margo!! I couldn't be more pleased. We shall want to hear all about it, afterward!
Brenda - he's asleep just now, having a well earned rest. Over the weekend he's going back to his sister's to raise one of the side gates on its hinges, as Bonnie can now jump over it. And she's not a particularly big spaniel!!
Nice that you managed three courses for your birthday dinner. I hope it was delish.
Margo - that is so good to hear and so pleased you are going to make the Joe Brown concert.
OG - glad you enjoyed the talk on Scotland. Do hope the weather is a little better up there. They reckon its going to be more blustery down here over the weekend but we shall see.
Just been looking at the Dunedin camera(although not strictly for Ospreys this blog, its not too far away for the season to begin) and spotted both birds on the nest. Will attempt to post a pic if they'll allow it.
just a couple.

Morning all
Margo: Yay!
Lynette: Love that second shot. :-)
A run-around day here; back later.
We have only got winds of 30mph at the moment and the building site's solid metal gates, which are joined by a heavy chain and padlock, but have wheels on the bottom, are rolling backwards and forwards on tarmac and clanking as they travel. The metal chain has been left too slack. They need to lock the wheels or have concrete blocks to stop them moving. OH has had to ring and leave a message again. There is a weather warning for gales in the South, which start tomorrow. Hope they come out this evening or we will have yet another sleepless night.
BRENDA - could you move into a back bedroom to get away from the noise?
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
