Happy New Week.
Clare: Got the date right this time !
nice walk at Chanonry and a very good lunch snack at "Crofters Bistro". It is owned by Penelope Keith and her son is a chef there. It has wonderful views over The Moray Firth.
Morning all: Went for walk; nice and cloudy here but suspect sun will show up shortly.
George/Lindybird: Welcome back. :-)
Margo: Hugs to you.
Hi ALL. I have bought two pairs of jeans, pale grey and beige, which are a perfect fit except I am having to have the legs shortened by 4". They cost much more than I was thinking of spending, but OH said they looked good and I was to buy them. I have to wait a week to pick them up after the alteration. I am sure I now need some new tops / jumpers to go with them. LOL
Limpy, Well done and best wishes for tomorrow. I am so glad you are enjoying Minsmere so much.
George, Now that the referendum is over, I am sure the TV will still be bombarding us about the future plans for all our countries and then the general Election :-)) I am looking forward to Downton Abbey tomorrow night. I hope I am not disappointed. We woke up to a proper thick fog this morning, after some very heavy rain last night. Have you any latest photographs of Diesel, please ? I forget how long it is, since you first decided to keep him.
Dibnlib, Sounds a lovely place to have lunch. Good food and wonderful views. What else could you ask for. Penelope Keith is an excellent actress, both on stage and the TV.
Good Morning, Annette. We had a very humid and sticky night last night, even though we had heavy thundery rain. OH and I were complaining about the heat at 2.30am, even though we had a large fan on, in the bedroom. I do not envy you the temperatures you have been enduring.
Linda, Hope your computer is now behaving itself. I don't see either of your sons being available to look at it for you, in the near future :-))
Margo was still having difficulty eating, when I spoke to her. Her mother-in Law is visiting this weekend, so I am sure we won't hear from her, just yet.
Lindy and George, it's wonderful to see you both!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Dibnlib - I also had lunch at 'The Crofters Bistro' the day before yesterday, sat in the window and enjoyed the view over the sea. Very good food there, I go there with my family when they come up to stay. It has changed hands a few times over the years, I did'nt realise Penelope Keith owned it now, she has bought several places in the area.
BRENDA I am hoping to get a new pair of jeans when we head down to Edn on Mon. I always get mine at House of Bruar, not cheap, but they fit, though like you I have them taken up.
I always liked Penelope Keith in both "The Good Life" and "To the Manor Born". We came across her a good few years ago at a hotel in Nairn. I was with my Mum and OH nd she and her husband were the only other 2 people in the restaurant. She sounded as posh as on tv..
Brenda - So glad that you managed to buy some nice jeans, something that I desperately need at the moment as I only have one good pair now and I do wear them a lot of the time. I am also looking forward to Downton Abbey tomorrow night, nice to have it back again.
Limpy- A deer safari! Have a good day, I'm sure you will enjoy it whatever the weather, but hope it stays dry for you.
I don't feel really qualified to comment on this thread, but I do read it as well as many other threads on this forum. I gave up posting here (many years ago) for a number of reasons.
However, the moderation on this thread has been so poor. If some of the comments had related to other minority communities, criminal prosecution might have followed.

There has been some moderation on this thread......there were some very heartfelt (and blunt) comments after the result of the referendum was known but I don't think any offence was meant.
ClaireM: Hi there. Sorry, don't remember you on this thread at all over the years, but must say that this has been one of the most consistently pleasant threads, with just one person "moderated" recently due to unrestrained remarks regarding political figures. As a group, we tend to avoid expressing strong feelings so as not to offend those with differing views. I can't for the life of me think that the RSPB would permit any comments worthy of "criminal prosecution," and even if the Mods missed it, it would likely be flagged by one of the regular users. Perhaps you have us confused with another thread - or even another site?
