Happy New Week.

Clare: Got the date right this time !

  • It is time to put the Politics to bed on this thread and think of happy thoughts.

    And Hi to everyone.

Has anyone heard from George lately.

  • Could not agree more Limpy.

  • I thought I posted a response t earlier - it was pretty darn innocuous, but it's not here.  Did anyone see it or did I just dream it?

EDIT: Mystery solved - the window with my post was lurking behind several other open windows and only just found it.  Duh.  It's below.

  • Lynette: Very brave of you to do wedding outfit shopping online; will you mail order them? If so, hope they have free shipping/returns. Brownies are from the very best mix ever - Ghirardelli - founded by Domenico Ghirardelli, an Italian candy maker who came to California during the gold rush of the late 1840s, failed to find gold and went back (thank heaven!) to doing what he did best.

Wendy: My garden's a disaster with the recent heatwave, which has had everyone stuck inside or lurking in air-conditioned libraries, stores, gyms, etc..  When you're done with fish's yard, mine could do with some help too (I'll save an extra brownie for you).

Alan: I've wondered where our "old" Alan has been the last year or so and would love to see him again. :-)

    Take care all.

  • Good morning, all.  After a beautiful week of weather it is finally chucking it down with rain here - well, we do need it.  I do hope it will be nicer tomorrow as Limpy is going to Minsmere - and he's going to be driving two groups of people on a deer safari!  To say the least he's very excited about this.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Hi all, I think Limpy has that spot on. Nothing with getting passionate about something you believe in but lets not turn the thread into a heated political debate that boils over, it's fine to disagree with each other and do it in a sensible and respectful way!

Anyway, it's the weekend so hopefully you can all see some wonderful wildlife, raining in my part of the world so will use the day to do some jobs but hopefully get out tomorrow!

  • Hullo everyone I have been keeping a low profile during the referendum period as even though I am politically minded I didn't think it proper to push my opinions onto any one else. I am glad that it is all over now and that the tele will have some decent programs to show.

I hope everyone is keeping well and this afternoon the sun has come out and I can now see to the other side of the Forth which I haven't been able to do for over a week because of the fog.

I hope Margo is starting to feel a bit better after her treatment.

  • Hello George - I'm so pleased to see you posting as I was beginning to worry about you, & I see you've been mentioned by others too. The sun has now crept out from the clouds here, too, after a dull greyish start. We've had a shower, which is great for the garden but is not enough as its bone dry. How is Diesel?? Still enjoying his walks, I hope.
  • Clare - That's great news about Limpy and I hope he enjoys his day.
  • CLARE Sounds as though Limpy has struck gold with Minsmere
