I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
As of yesterday all birds still around at Caerlaverock.
The female osprey is still around as she just brought a fish to the nest for one of the youngsters. Yesterday, the male brought a flounder in for the chick, FK3. The fish was still alive and somehow managed to flip itself off the nest, right in front of both birds. They peered over the side of the nest for a few seconds to see where it had gone, before both flying off again
Yesterday ChloeB and I visited Estwaite. It is a truly fascinating place. It is somewhere that ospreys can be seen fishing every day apparently and the lake is only about two miles long. There were three pairs competing for one of the nests back in the spring.
We hope to visit Foulshaw Moss and Roudsea Wood very soon.

Thanks MARY Interesting but surely they won't be able to have that as a venue if the ospreys are nesting?????????
Apparently they can use 50% of the Strathallan estate but the question with the crowds if that is enough.
Thanks for that info LMAC
Another great BLOG from Jaydee @ Kielder.
You beat me to it, Mary! Thanks.
River Teviot female has gone, chicks and dad still around
