I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
I watched the programme too SHEILA and the moon bear piece wasn't shown then
Update on Red 8T 11th Aug - Red 8T reared three young with his usual mate this summer – they are all flying and Red 8T is now supplying them with fish during their pre-migration period. He is often seen at the fishery at Rothiemurchus
Rothiemurchus - still in Perthshire as of the 10th Aug.
Morven - Morven did not breed this summer with her new mate – after the fighting at her original nest she moved to an unused eyrie but failed to adjust and lay eggs. She departed in late July.

Starling - Thanks for news of Roys Birds.
Does anyone know how to access Urdaibi Site in English Language - used to be able to access it but now only get this message from the same link.
Keith - Is this what you want? otherwise I have no idea.

There was some news of 8A yesterday posted on ospreywatch.co.uk (posted on the 10th). There is some tracking info of where he has been exploring around Bassenthwaite lake. Glad he is doing well, anyway.
Some Updates from JD @ KIELDER.

Great up to date reporting from Kielder, and what a BUMPER year for them!!!!

Many thanks for posting those links MGK, reinforces just what a good year this has proved to be & what a greatly informative blog site Kielder have produced! Have you ever met JD? Much off-season reading matter there to lighten gloomy days & commit to memory all Ospreys involved in their three nests (this is when I wished the Osps had names which I personally find much easier than all the ring letters & year numbers!)
Thanks for update Starling on Roy's birds. Great to hear on Red8T - a favourite of mine and of course on Rothie. Very sad to hear Morven's news - another failed nest and a brilliant mother.
WendyBartler - I have attended the Osprey Watch at Kielder and the entire team are so dedicated and enthusiastic at what they do rain, sunshine or whatever the weather throws at them and admiringly maanged by Joanna.
The day I attended we had such a fun ammusing discussion about naming and if I remember correctly Joanna did not like naming but one of the other volunteers that day and I think it may be Joyce just loved them and got the feeling she would name them the day the egg cracked.
A Great Team and a huge success in the natural colonistaion of ospreys - the only help to build a few nests to attract the birds.
MaryGK is very good posting the links to Kielder, many thanks to her - I must try and do better!
Keith is right, Joyce, a dedicated long serving volunteer is a big fan of naming ospreys. I don't 'manage' OW, but do take part and also write the blog most of the time. It has been a truly fantastic year for Kielder. Thanks to Keith for his kind comments about the Project.
