I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
News of Nel. Can't remember if this goes here or on Osprey Chat. S/he has put on weight but the feather growth appears very slow.
Thanks GS for Nel update. Poor wee soul is still lacking in the feather department but hopefully she will catch up eventually.
Update : 4 fledges at Kielder here
Yes amazing news Alan. All Nest 1 chicks fledged in one day! :)

This was posted on Facebook 14 minutes ago. The moment we kind of dread but know will happen. I cannot believe the season has gone so quickly though!

Our female osprey, Blue KC, has not been seen for several days now, so it looks like she migrated to Africa on 24th. Black80 & our 2 young are busy fishing & feeding.
A reminder that our volunteers are at the osprey viewing platform, with telescope, daily 10.30-4.30, for your visit.
Wow - so early! Thank you, GS, for the unwelcome info ;-)

Thank you, TIGER, especially for pointing us to the precise spot ;-)
So, not even osprey experts can enlighten us and Mother Nature keeps her secrets. Even if the male did have another nest it wouldn't explain Mumzilla's nastiness.
