I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......

Sorry for ignorance but could you, KEITH, or someone please tell me which nest this is? It's a wonderful UK example of a platform having been keenly adopted :-)
IMAGICAT
I may have found the answer - Loch Insh? Is that what the nest is known by?
Yes Loch Insh scylla

Thanks, CHLOE (and another private enlightener ;-) ).
Lake District have ringed the two chicks - Both Males Blue 8A and Blue 9A.
I do not think they have satelite tagged them but I imagine they will give us more news later.
Morning All
I spent a lovely day at LOCHTER yesterday, they have three beautiful juveniles. One who is another Drui, he was so laid back he wing stretched from a lying down position.
The female chased off an intruder, and came quickly back to her perch, but when we were having lunch I still had a view of her, she disappeared for 15 minutes so maybe there was an intruder around again, when she came back she stood on the nest rather than her perch and was looking all around.
I did a short video (Scylla you have my sympathies with the frustrations of the task) it looks all pixilated and broken up to me, so please let me know if it's the same for you and I will remove it.
Will post this first, as I have already lost one that I typed out trying to upload the video.

Good morning Mary. Video is great. No quality issues. I had a problem earlier using RF to post the video link to Glaslyn.
Birdies LG DU update.
Thank You Mike, I had to leave it uploading overnight, takes forever, don't know how Scylla, Limpy, Mims manage to get them uploaded so quick. Then when I looked this morning it was all broken up, maybe that is just the site wifi because it just grinds to a halt when everyone is up and about.
Thank you Mary for this lovely video. This nest is in such a beautiful setting. Chicks look as if they will fledge soon. Was this taken from a hide, visitor centre or a great vantage point. I was planning to go there at some point.
Granny Smith - There are large screen TV screens in the VC which is the cafe where you can get a lovely Lunch - cakes etc whilst you watch the inside the nest view.
You should visit probably closest you will come to a nest and its feeding grounds and also have a nice lunch or cake.
This is the camera that beams down the pictures which is also a favourite perch.
