I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
Pictures of Nellie and Nelson. Both very white chested.
Tiger Signature
I am always struck by how light the American/Canadian ospreys are compared to ours.
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Yes, they don't have our interesting chest patterns.
IMAGICAT
Fish angel delivered another evening fish supper Nellie which they took graciously and ate. She appears to just take them over the side of the nest - i would love to know how they are managing this. Anyway chickie names are
#1 - Nel
#2 - Tag
#3 - posthumously officially PeeWee :)

People on the ground say that there is a pulley system. Presumably a bit like you see in some kitchens.
Sounds ingenious. Shades of Wallace and Gromit. Or better still, Gerard Hoffnung's barrel of bricks :)
There is a dedicated thread on Hancock
What a brilliant idea. Hope when the chicks are a little older it doesn't make Nellie lazy but in the meantime delighted someone has been so ingenious.
I have been keeping up with that thread Tiger but thanks for posting.
Wonderful
Posted this afternoon on the Glaslyn facebook:
Great news! Friends of the Osprey have just confirmed that there are 3 Osprey chicks in a nest on one of their platforms. This is some miles away from Glaslyn. This nest is on private land and the location will not be published. We are delighted for them and wish them every success with their other nest platforms.
