I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
He nearly garotted himself, PATILY :o
I'm just going to see what I've captured today, if anything - the stream goes down quite a bit.
IMAGICAT
At first I had only sound *eek*, then...
0740-0810hr today (yesterday now) - THREE preydrops in half an hour - don't blink!

Treat coming up! ;-)
The treat is a parent bringing prey and staying for more than a split second ;-) This was about 15 minutes after the above deliveries:
Then along came a juvie with an entirely black face, nibbling at vegetation:
It had a pink patch on the back of its neck:
Then came along 2 juvies with the "right" faces ;-)
Then one of them sat down with the black-faced one:
Another preydrop - so fast!

EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Thanks MARY
I haven;t seen the black face one yet...that was a rapid change...they all looked alike on Friday, SCYLLA!
The 2 chicks at Caerlaverock seemto be about the same stage as LG's youngest

Scylla just love the photos and video clip of the marsh harriers, beautiful birds. Thank you for sharing.
Wow! Love the marsh harriers, Scylla - just beautiful!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
This morning on the Marsh Harrier cam I got ENS when I logged on, but now there's a big notice "no stream". I've got all yesterday's to go thru, I won't post too much because they, although beautiful and charming, are not ospreys!
