I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
Oh, an empty nest!

there is also a nest, visable from the new obs at dyfi that ospreys have been photographed on but is not being used this year,i am visiting the no longer secret nest site again tomorrow to see how things are progressing, the rangers and nest watchers are very informative
I thought this was funny, it went something like "there is a secret nest in the middle of our reed bed"... well, thanks for the directions ;-D
I'm looking forward to your reports, PAUL!
Yesterday I got a shot of the male dropping in prey - I've seen the female too, they don't hang around!!!
This is the video i got it from, I haven't been posting them here as I wasn't sure it was the right place.
We won't know exactly when they fledge, they just won't come back!
