I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
So good to see she is back and is safe.
Chicks at Caerlaverock Certainly been a season of mixed fortunes at the different nests

3 chicks at Lochter but some concern over string/netting in the nest:
"While we are all so excited about the 3 chicks hatching we are aware that there was a complaint about some string/netting in the nest. We are unable to remove this and also not willing to remove this presently as we do not want to disturb or upset the two parent birds. We would not like to chance the risk of upsetting the birds to a point where we have invaded their nest which might not make them return. The Osprey's build their nest from materials they pick up, this is not something we have control over."
Tweed Valley - Three ospreys now!! - one on cam post (female) and two on nest (the male , White SS to the back). The osprey in the middle of the nest is the new arrival!
Edit: 14:52 the osprey on the nest flew off leaving the original two, one on the cam post and the other on the perch above nest.
The male has since flown off, the female remains on the cam post.
Alan, thanks for update on Lochter. String/nettings is always a concern. We can only but hope it doesn't cause any problems!
Hellgate, Montana Osprey Project - taken from Lin Lawson's video
Monty feeds Iris while she incubates. This is the Dad that Monty aspires to be and that Odin won't even try to be (but he's Gorgeously Magnificent just as he is) ;-)
IMAGICAT
That is lovely Scylla :-)
Few days ago at the caerlaverock nest, whilst the female was shielding the chicks from the pouring rain, the male, Yellow 80 fed her. it is just so touching to watch :-) I have also seen him feed the chicks and then the female takes over :-))
The Caerlaverock Osprey Project is a joint project with WWT, FCS and SNH. webcam
No birds present at moment
Sorry I meant at TV
Thanks Karen for the news of the return of what we all hope is the TV female. Hope we get some info tomorrow of what went wrong here.
