I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
Just a snippet of news from Esthwaite:
"There's good news for next year though we might be installing cameras!"
Thanks ALAN Season going well at most nests
More cameras would be good
Forgot to post this from about an hour ago.

No chicks yet at Foulshaw Moss
Switched on Tweed Valley cam at 11:45am to see the chicks were on the nest alone.
It is now 12:08 and there has been no sign of the parents or any movement from the chicks. I hope all is well here!
Tweed Valley
12:19 a bird lands on the nest but then takes off again
-
A minute later, lands again. It is the male with a fish.
He is just standing at the back of the nest. No sign of the female and I can't see any movement from the chicks!
12:30 the male flies off with the fish and lands on the cam post .
12:45 Male has removed the head and jumps down to the nest.
He is just standing and still no movement from the chicks or sign of the female.
The chicks have been uncovered and still for over an hour now. Concerning!!
Karen - oh no, this is a worry, I wonder what is going on!

Hi Starling - indeed a worry. Something is wrong here!!
I've just spoken with a friend who has told me that seemingly the chicks were exposed in the heavy rain Wednesday night!! The male was seen on the nest with a fish but no female about and the chicks got drenched.
Just have to wait and see what Tweed Valley report - their information officer works Mondays and Tuesdays but it is strange - no sign of the female nor any movement from the chicks. Sadly, IMO the situation here doesn't look good.
I have been watching on and off since you posted Karen, & while watching I have seen no movement from chicks either, and chicks usually fidget quite a bit. It cetainly doesn't look good.
Well after reading elsewhere, it is raining heavily at Tweed Valley and the chicks are soaked and surely dead. They think it is the female on the nest at the moment, but not incubating the chicks, so maybe she realises. What an incredibly sad situation :(
Edit - Just had a look for myself and not convinced that it is the female on the nest, I think the male must have left & returned.
