I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
The Finnish nest Alan is referring to Patily is the one at Seili, Nauvo.
The other Finnish nest we follow is at Hailuoto, Marjaniemi There is another at Janakkala, Häme, but that one does not appear to be working this year.

Thanks KAREN Let's hope that both nests are successful
Thanks SUE & CHLOE for clarifying about the Finnish nest
Ilmar 's mate is back in Estonia:
"Irma (U5 ring) has arrived!"
Don't know where to put this :'(
==============
Ilmar and Irma are making a good start:
Ilmar brought a fish, she kept him waiting and when she deigned to drop down off the campost for it he took it to the dead tree - she wasn't bothered, she nestorised until Ilmar brought the fish back:
3 matings that I saw, so there must have been lots more :-)

IMAGICAT
Has any observer spotted an egg yet in the nest at Tweed Valley.
I see that the pair at Esthwaite Water are
Green 5Y(06) and White YU(07) Can anybody please tell me which nests they hatched from?

Patily according to Sue C's data they are both from Bassenthwaite.
Birdies LG DU update.
PATILY - Green 5Y was from the original nest west of Bassentwaite to parents Green SX (Female) and Male (No Ring)
White YU was from the same nest but different mother - Mrs No Ring and Male (No Ring).
Next year 2008 they established a new nest at Dodd Wood.
White YU was seen in Senegal in 2011 and although ringed as a male was recognised in Senegal as female.
I am assuming therefore the male to be Green 5Y as I had sex down as blank from 2006.
I Thank You for this news from Esthwaite Water - You are a great Information officer..
