I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
Thanks Jaydee - They need an Information Officer like Kielder have :):).
Aberfoyle: Yesterday we learned Katrine had laid her first egg however Drunkie has a mistress! Arklet is still around refusing to leave and is building a new nest with Drunkie really close to Katrine's nest ......... .

Thanks Karen - This will be an interesting situation - wonder if he can keep two families happy.
I keep in touch with St Pauls and Minneapolis (Twin cities) and a male there had two nests one on each bank of the river - he raised three chicks in each nest with the two females last season.
Karen and Keith, Absolutely fascinating--Ospreys really do lead soap opera lives!
Keith, Do you have a link to a blog, etc. about the Twin Cities nests, please?
Kind regards, Ann
First egg at Finland Archipelago sea nest.
What is this nest ALAN? I was reading yesterday about the resident ospreys in Morocco that nest on sea cliffs Is this similar?
I was just rereading about the love triangle at Aberfoyle. I see the females are named after local lochs but what is the significance of the male's name, please? Is Arklet ringed?
