I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......

Ilmar back at Estonia nest 2.
Good news Alan re Ilmar. A bit late but I'm still thinking of Ilmari. Such a shock and so close to land. Just hope he didn't suffer...I'd grown fond of him and was hoping to follow him more via his website this year:-((
Ilmar back earlier than last year. Still waiting for Irma.
I contacted Tweed Valley for an update on White SS and they have kindly replied confirming both ospreys are back. Copy of their response
Hi Karen,
Fantastic news that our main nest pair have returned to their nest site for the start of their 11th season together. The male bird was the first to return on 28th March and the female turned up on the 2nd April. They're busy nesting and feeding.
We've not been to the backup nest yet as too busy with other work.
We will be doing the blog again this year throughout the Tweed Valley Osprey Project season. The project starts again from tomorrow.
Regards,
Hugh
Thanks KAREN That's really good to know and great that they replied to your query
