This is the new thread for posting reports of osprey sightings, whether on the internet, in the press or in real life.
For the benefit of any new or less frequent viewers, it might be helpful if the first person to refer to a regular online source of information, for example Faune-Aquitaine, provided a link and a brief explanation of what the site is about.
Let the migration season commence!
Thanks Heron77. My sentiments entirely. This is a friendly educational forum and lets keep it that way.
Anyone can come on here and say they are Lord Adonis or Lady Gaga but dont expect us to believe them.

Dear All, including “Not a Member”.
Note that Richard has posted in the current blog comments regarding the reporting of sightings etc, and I have just replied to him, seeking clarification on how he thinks the issue should be handled from this point on. Here’s the link:

I can guess that some of you are not going to like me doing this, but I felt it was the only way of resolving the controversy which has raged on this thread since yesterday.
While “Not a Member” has made one of the least tactful entrances to an internet community I have ever seen, he/she was making some valid points, and I was disappointed that some long term members of this forum did not show more maturity in their responses to him/her.
So, feeling somewhat estranged from both sides of the argument, I’m going out – will pick up on replies later.
Always best to be neutral in these arguments SueC. It saves you aggro in the long run. I am still fuming at this attempt at censorship by someone who is not even a member of RSPB. He will be trying to censor me on Facebook next. I can understand now why some people left here to go to the Facebook forum.
I have decided not to report any more sightings on this forum as I dont want to upset any of the regulars but I will continue on Facebook if anyone is interested. Not a member will have to come and get me there. LOL

Yes Alan you are right but I understand how angry you still are. Please don't leave these forums, you are such a good source of information to us all.
Margobird
Thanks Alan will you be posting on tne new facebook?
Not the RSPB official site Margobird but the Loch Garten Bloggers one.
