Osprey Sightings 2010

This is the new thread for posting reports of osprey sightings, whether on the internet, in the press or in real life.

For the benefit of any new or less frequent viewers, it might be helpful if the first person to refer to a regular online source of information, for example Faune-Aquitaine, provided a link and a brief explanation of what the site is about.

    Thanks for the sightings Sandy spending a lot of time in the garden gazing up at the skies.  Quite a few now seem not far from me.  Maybe I will get lucky.

    Alan: Thanks for all the French sightings - I'm going to have to brush up on my woeful French geography so I can visualize where they actually are!

    Sandy,

    Thanks but how very frustrating. On Monday I walked the whole circuit of Weir Wood reservoir, without seeing as much as a glimpse of an osprey. Now there are two, flaunting themselves - there are photos on Birdguides now. 

    I will probably have another try soon - I have never walked the circuit of Thorney Island.
