5/6/2012 Visited the reserve early this morning and had a good view of Oriole flying between both poplar woods ,that was all but heard plenty of calls and singing from what sounded like 2.On way in had a treat of a Barn Owl sitting on a roadside fence post near the auction barn at lakenheath village.Why did i leave camera in boot of car!!! Plenty of cuckoo sightings around the reserve , saw at least 4. On way home around 10am turned left out of reserve and watched another barn owl hunting near river bank bridge , it then flew within 10 feet pasat front of my car into opposite field.Great morning.
