Visit to reserve 17/12/13

Got to reserve early and walked along river bank whilst full moon was just visible above horizon , as I got to first wood I witnessed an awesome sight of what looked like few thousand rooks(I have never seen so many here before)all taking flight and I could even feel the wind on my face from them moving around above me and they were making same sort of quick movements as a starling murmuration .It was fantastic to watch but only downside was it was too dark to video and I was on my own.Also spotted 12 marsh harriers from joist fen at first light.
