Althought I haven't been up there this Autumn I thought I might tell you about this from last Autumn.
I was standing on the damn wall of Yoeman Hey watching great flocks of Redwing and Fieldfare flying down the valley and out over Dovestones and away. As you know as you get over Dovestones the vista of the Manchester conurbation stretches out in front of you. While watching the flights come through one flock of Redwing came down the valley out over Dovestones and promptly turned right round and flew back up the valley ! They just mustn't have liked what they saw.

Sounds like Fieldfare and Redwing have started to arrive at Dove Stone so we'll be watching out for some big groups passing through and reporting back as and when.
Flocks of 300+ Redwing and Fieldfare are over the hill at Ogden Clough/Lees Hill and more moving thru all the time.
