Out this am to Binn Green. Wonderful sunny day, very little wind, biting creatures aplenty.
No crossbills. I am beginning to doubt their existence here...
Did see a black pheasant, apparently a hybrid. Very smart.
Also 5 hawks over far rocks, presumably peregrines. Having a lovely time in the breeze. Kestrel chased by rooks at Aldermans. And: female bullfinch, chaffinch, coal blue and great tits, and 2 jays.
