Amazing scenes at Hoylake today. 10mtr. tide and many thousand birds so close to the promenade, almost on the slipway. Sorry, no pics. yet 'cause durr, I still use film. Anyway, pics. wouldn't do it, you need to see it. The tide is 9.8mtrs. (32ft.) tomorrow 15th., at about 13.20 and should be just as spectacular. Whilst we're waiting for Heron's pictures to come back from the chemist's I'll upload some I took today at King's Gap.
The big guns were out in force. Mine looks puny compared to these bazookas.
Please keep off the beach when the birds are roosting , fellas.

I have stood there on so many occasions and watched fantastic numbers of waders. Brilliant photographs Galatas. Thank you, I feel as though I am there with you. Parkgate should be good with that high tide.
The problem at Parkside , and everywhere else between West Kirby and Burton , is the afternoon sun is more or less in front of you. Best there when the high tide is in the morning so the sun is behind you.

Great pics. Galatas, my film hasn't even been sent to the sent to the "chemist" yet. We must have passed each other yesterday. I was one the guy's with the digi. compacts, my least favourite weapon, and would you believe it, my desktop PC has now died and my laptop will not accept the program for that camera. To say I'm fed up is an understatement and I have an MRI scan result to face tomorrow, but this isn't the place.
Sorry to hear of all your woes. Hope the scan results are favourable. Good luck.
