i was just looking at your pdf burton mere map, and it shows a link by path from the visitor center to the far hill fort side,
is this trail open now ?

Hi there, this section of the path is under construction (when weather allows!).
We hope to open it as soon as possible.
An update would be useful.
We were told when the visitor centre opened that the new path would take about a year, sadly it is now almost two years and apart from some screening there doesn't seem to be much happening. I know that last year the weather was awful and there have been two breeding seasons but more info would help please.
