Hi, novice living in Connahs Quay and looking for some advice on were to spot any local Birds of Prey. Have seen Buzzards circling overhead from my house by Wepre Park last year and over towards the power station but wondered if anybody had advice of were to go and see anything else, cheers, Jeff.
Not much life here ;-) or just keeping your spots secret? Was out on the bike today riding on the cyclepath opposite Deeside industrial estate and actually rode under a rather wet buzzard on a lampost. Some hours latter, probaly same bird was on the other side, made my ride.
I don't know about the bird life there but this link might help.
have a browse through it, then try the links & see what you find ,
great spot with the soggy buzzard

Hi People, probably worth noting that sometimes its worth airing on the side of caution when posting sightings of sensitive/rare birds ... perhaps that's a reason for a slow response?
Hi Paul, totally understand were your coming from. Did partake in some of the raptor watchs a few years back and once things calm down here, training for Ironman Wales, shall come and pay you a visit and speak in person, cheers, Jeff
just up off nights, sat down to breakfast looking out patio doors and see Buzzard circling above ;-)
For all you Raptor fans -RSPB's Raptor Watch Events are due to start again - they'll be the last Sunday of every month from Sept thru to March :)
Paul, are we still on for this Sunday? Time? Same place as previous years?
