Hi everyone
There is a chain of posts about problems with the website so rather than reply to them all, I thought it best to write a new post with a quick update.
We're really sorry you have been having problems with the blog and in particular, uploading images to the site.
I've spoke to our web team to get an update for you and basically a site upgrade has left a long list of glitches for them to sort out (I'm guessing many more than normal?).
Any way, they are hugely apologetic and are working flat out to get it all sorted. The list has to prioritise issues that stop the functionality of the site but they think they should be all sorted within the next couple of days.
If you can stick with us a little longer, it should all resolve itself soon.
Apologies again
Matthew
thank`s for that matthew hope they get it sorted soon as its a good place to visit
once again thank`s for explaining what`s happening
Ian
Thanks for the update Matthew.
As a sceptic though,I,m just a little worried about the "...working flat out to get it all sorted." bit. Does that mean to give us what we want - a simple to use, friendly, community site - or, as I've said before, what they want us to have - a complicated facebook clone?
Facebook is OK if only they would make the design cleaner and cut all the jargon and just use nice clear English...or maybe that is too much to ask!
Just noticed that the tiny icons have now gone and full-size pictures have re-appeared in the photo gallery. Thanks folks! :-)
Hopefully things should be back to normal by now but let me know if you are still having problems
As Bridgeman says, the tiny icon problem seems to have been fixed - but the 'comments' sections now have the Avatars covering part of the text, and some of the postcards are bigger than the enlarged photos! One step forward - two steps back!!
