Hi
I'm planning a trip to Bempton in either late June or early July. Will there still be a lot of sea bird (Gannets, puffins, Razorbills etc) activity to phottograph? Unfortunately I cant make a visit any earlier than late June.
Thanks
Andrew
Hi there,
Oh yes, things will still be good.
By late June, the guillemots and razorbills will be on their way out to sea but there will still be some hanging about on the ledges.
Our wonderful puffins will still be around and there will also be some kittiwakes.
But the stars at this time will definitely be the gannets - there will be thousands around. Head off to Staple Newk and watch them from the viewpoint there. It's amazing... promise!
Hi Margaret
Thanks so much for the reply. It's great news the Puffins and Gannets will still be around as their the ones I'm particularly interested to see and try to photograph.
Really looking forward to my visit!!
I'm pretty sure you'll have no probs with the gannets.
Fingers crossed Margaret. I'm just looking forward at least to walking along some nice windswept cliff tops right now. With the temperatures out here hitting 49.5 degrees last Saturday some nice cool fresh air is just what I need.
