Our Kestrels are now live on the Arne website! The female has been sitting on the eggs for 32 days so the first should hatch any time. She seems particularly restless today and sometimes you can even hear the chicks calling from the eggs. Who will be the first to see a hatched chick? It would be great to see everyones observations on this forum so we can keep updated with all the excitement! To see the webcam follow: http://www.rspb.org.uk/reserves/guide/a/arne/webcam.aspx
According to our maths, today should be the day of hatching! Keep your eyes peeled!
excellent being able to watch live..well done guys
Capturing the Light with an original perspective displayed in every Photograph..perhaps
Still no sign of the first egg hatching. We were a bit concerned that we hadnt seen the male all day but he has appeared twice in the last hour.
Hi All
Fascinated newcomer to the Group. Hope you don't mind me joining you like this?
I saw Mr K this morning, calling and then appearing right in front of the camera with what looked like a mouse, Mrs K not interested at the time but then she did leave and he took over incubating (I think).
Sorry, don't know the time (before 10 a.m. anyway) but, new to all this, I was flicking between Ospreycam and Kestrelcam, guessing both may have activity.
Brain overload! Don't know how you all cope with the excitement!

OK - you got me - I'm addicted.
Hi Hazel all newcomers especially welcome. Glad to hear you're hooked Dom, addictive isn't it, just wait till the chicks are there!!! Since Micheal posted we have seen the male twice and he appeared to bring in a common lizard and a vole. Keep your comments rolling in :)
You got that recording device rigged up yet? Looking forward to the weekly highlights package!
Well I promised myself I wouldn't provide a running commentary but...
The male has clearly done a runner now that the chicks may be about to hatch! He'd better bring back a tasty morsel or two when he finally returns if he doesn't want to get severely scolded.
I'm sure I heard a man on a creaky ladder a moment ago (?)
Just got up and about to head out...... Thought I would have a quick check and see if any of the eggs had hatched. She has been sitting pretty tight (and sneezing!!) pretty sure no hatchings as yet, keep your eyes peeled, surely today?
