Red Kite - not quite Arne but not far away!

Just to let you know there were several sighting of a red kite round the Kimmeridge / Creech area today

Im a warden at Kimmeridge Marine Centre for DWT, a visiter came in and reported it over the valley leading down to the bay, then I got a really good sighting of it from my car driving home over Creech Hill. I stopped to try and get a photo but it was too far away by then, a couple in the car park said they had been watching it for about 20 mins.

I know they're not a common sighting in Dorset, how often are they seen.

Just to report Hub saw Red Kite driving home from work this evening from the higher Shaftesbury Road just south of Ashmore - am dead jealous!

We had a red kite flying over the heath at Arne today. A group of us saw it at about 9am.

As has been said before there are not that many seen in the south of the county but there have been several reports over the last couple of weeks. Always nice to see! Keep your eyes peeled!
