Capturing the Light with an original perspective displayed in every Photograph..perhaps
There are more and more in Dorset and I see one every month at least, but I never have a camera ready when it happens. Beautiful bird unmissable with the tail in arrow shape.
I didn't know they were seen that often Olivier, is this in a specific area or have you spotted them in different places around the County?
I have seen them more in the north of Dorset around Shirborne. Fact is I have spotted them more often in Wiltshire than Dorset.
That's interesting as I am going to Sherborne tomorrow but not for wildlifing unfortunately but will make a point of looking up all the time!:-)

Yogi Bear strikes again... well done Paul..
It seems DWT have had quite a few sightings already this year so they may be getting established - Dorset and round the Purbecks is great for raptors
They are certainly a regular sight in the north of the county and there are definately more sightings in the south now. Last summer there was one hanging around the Wareham area for about a week. Young birds will often leave the area where they fledged and do a bit of a tour before returning. They have started to spread further as the populations around the original release sites have increased.
