saw a small white'ish lady bird with gold spots (14 i think) which is the one & only i have seen on my farm in north wales. are these becoming common & where have they come from
I'm not exactly sure of the species of ladybird you have found - none of that description really come to mind - there are thought to be around 43 resident species in the UK and approximately 3500 worldwide, but you may be able to identify it here
Recording where it was found, and on what plants and what it was feeding on can also help to narrow down the identification.
You should also report it to the national UK ladybird survey as they are keeping records of sightings and movements opf ladybirds in the UK and they should be able to identify it for you.
Hope that helps!
