I love to feed the birds and squirrels that visit my garden every morning. I also buried a washing up bowl and filled it with water and a few plants and have enjoyed watching 2 frogs living in it all Summer. I have seen Robins, Wrens ,Blue and Great Tits,Blackbirds,loads of Starlings,Sparrows and Pigeons. 7 Magpies,Parrakeets,Rooks .I have also seen 2 Toads ,2 Field mice all of which I've taken loads of photos and filled many photo album.
Im 45, single,animal and wildlife lover.
Hi Daryl and welcome to the forum. Your garden sounds wonderful - a really welcoming site for wildlife. The parakeets are interesting - something not exactly commonplace in my garden, anyway! I am hoping to do similar to you in making a small pond out of something like a washing up bowl. Can I ask, what plants did you use as I know some are really enthusiastic and can take over very quickly?
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!

I'm ashamed to say that I have a pond in my shed... it has been there for about 5 years... since my parents bought it for a birthday...each year, I intend to dig that hole and somehow, another year slips by!

Hi Squirrel,Thankyou for your interest in my garden.The plants I used was a small water lily which seems to be flourishing with many leaves but sadly no flowers this year. I also bought some aquatic plants that oxygenate the water.

Thankyou for your reply.You should dig that hole to make your pond.You'll love watching the wildlife that takes up residents there.You should do it before the Winter arrives so it will be all set in and calm for next Spring. Good Luck!!

If you want to include pics in your reply you need to put it on your desktop then when you make your reply click the insert media tab. In browse write desktop and search. when you find your pic you simply copy and paste. Hope this helps you.
