I've just been out today to change birds water and put fat balls out and meal worms a feast lol and straight away black cap in the feast there funny birds with their cap, can't believe female birds have red cap on their head.
We're missing them in our garden this year :(
"Let loose the Kraken!"
Forgot to say Val, we had a male Blackcap in our garden two weeks ago who stayed for a while but the last few days I haven't seen it so maybe it's headed off elsewhere to link up with a flock. About three years ago we had a pair of Blackcaps but again, they didn't stay long. Hope your pair stay so you can enjoy their visits. Well done.

Thanks to you all for replying.
For those of you without Blackcaps, they'll be back. It is quite mild at present.
