Hellooo.
Can anyone do me a whopper of a favour and put a name to the beetle above? I found it on my wall last October and had never seen its like before. It's probably incredibly common, but, since one of its kind has never been brave enough to venture into the murky underworld of Birmingham, I have spent most of my life not even knowing it existed. And I feel too lazy to Google.

Hi Colin
I'm sure someone on this Forum can but unfortunately your photo isn't showing. The gremlins have struck again.
Try reposting to see if that works. Mind you there's no guarantee it will stay even then..

It looks like a Shield Bug/Shield Bug Nymph. See:-

The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Well done Squirrel. Why can you see the photo and I can't? Are you on the No 1 server and I'm relegated to the 2nd division.LOL. Not that I'd have known what it was anyway.
Hi Corriepaw,
I don't think it is a beetle, I think it's a nymph.
Hey farmer, farmer, put away the D.D.T now. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!
Oh! I can't see it and I like bugs!! :-(
