I thought it my be interesting to have a thread showing our gardens and the way they change throughout the year. Here's mine looking a bit of a mess at the moment -
I di leave most of it uncut over winter to give the insects more places to spend the winter - well thats my excuse - I was probably just being lazy.
Best wishes
Stoat
I'm not bald. I've just got ingrowing hair!
Hi Stoat. Best of luck with the raised bed, but can I just give you a friendly warning. I bought one also from B&Q, but decided to make it bigger than was advised, to grow vegetables. The problem came when I came to fill it with soil. I got a tonne of top soil, and at least a tonne of rotted manure, and it still isn't full. So, if you keep to the size recommendedyou should be Ok.
There are 9000 species of bird on earth. Let's keep it that way.
That's a great idea, and what a lovely garden

I was wondering how much it would take to fill. One local garden centre is selling a tonne for £60 which I thought was quite good but delivery is £50!
Zara did find someone local who is giving some away but transpoting it is the problem.
Cheers
Just checked your profile to see where you live. Unfortunately you are a long way from Lancashire. We have a local Building Supplier called C& W Berry who will deliever a tonne of top soil for £47. Don't think they will deliver to Hereford :)
You're garden is looking tider than mine at the moment lol
Millie & Fly the Border Collies

I'm sure it said thew were £13 on the stand and looked in the catalogue where it said they were £18 but they only charged me a fiver! Bargain of the day! I just need to work out the best way to get hold of some soil to fill it with now. Best wishes and good gardening. Stoat

No problem Stoat, I have also found that these are the only company (as far as I can tell) whose price goes down per unit the more you buy!....and free delivery for my area!....
Just ordered 80 bags!!!!......
Probably going to order a tonne later this week and will then put up some photos of the new garden!
