This brown magpie has visited my garden every day for a couple of months. It waits under the feeder with the pheasants for falling seed.

Wow - I've never seen a Magpie like this one. I wonder how it gets on with the normally coloured ones? Great picture, John, and welcome to the Community.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
How unusual, interesting photo though, never seen one like that!!!
Welcome to the forum from Devon John.
Hi John - what a magnificent looking magpie, and the beauty of him being brown is that you know for sure you are seeing the same one each day! Lovely to see it.

Hello John and welcome from me too. That photo of the Magpie is amazing, the first one I have ever seen with the Leucism, thanks for posting.

Hi John, it sure is unusual....and a beauty.
Viv.
Maybe you can tame him so that he resides mainly in your garden, then you can really keep an eye on him!
