I also have one & asked the same question. Beautiful isn't it?
i had a flock of these in my garden this morning, have never heard or seen them before, they were finding berry's, they are lovely.
Agree, fieldfares are beautiful but I bet not around when I do the Big Garden Birdwatch at the weekend to add to my totals!
I had two at lunchtime yesterday eating the apples I had out under the tree at the back of the house. I put down some sultanas today (I'm out of apples) but they did not appear when I was looking.
As we move through the universe may we leave as light a touch as a butterfly wing on the fabric of the environment.
If they don't turn up during the birdwatch at the weekend, you can still record interesting bird sightings on Birdtrack, it's free to use and helps us and the BTO (plus other partners) monitor birds distribution and numbers.
