I am fortunate to have an abundance of bird live where I live and am so excited to of discovered a pair of Black Redstart's visit my estate. It is a joy to know that although they are an amber listed bird of conservation they have graced me with their presence. I am over the moon with ecitement and will keep all interested updated with my post's.

Thank you. I will try to capture them on camera. They were back today and it was a pleasure to watch them.
Excellent sighting, Baldeagle :) Black Redstart is my favourite bird - a pair nested on sandstone cliffs close to where I grew up. I hope you can get some pics!

Great visitor to your garden, Baldeagle. I hope you can get a photo. Apparently there's an organisation whose aim is to try to mitigate the impact of urban regeneration on their rather specialised habitat requirements. I don't know whether you know about it, I certainly didn't.

I have seen them at Sizewell power station near Minsmere but to get one in your garden is a scoop.

I live by the river thames london where the Black Redstart resides. I don't have a garden as such rather a small park in the middle of my estate. The bird life is amazing and to have black redstarts grace me with their presence is fantastic. I am currently working on providing plenty of food sources etc on the estate to engourage all the bird life to stay throughout the winter months. Any suggestions?
Oh...and yes Teejay, I came across blackredstarts.org.uk the other day. Their work is excellent. Thanks for the pointer though. :-)
Thanks Alan. There are some wonderful suggestions. There are smalls trees on the estate that I have managed to put a recycled feeder on which is proofing a success. And I am planning to make some bird cakes also. I am in the process of emailing my estate manager asking for some assistance in the conservation and encouragement of our bird life and wildlife in general. I will keep you posted of developments :-)
