Over the last couple of days we've had a new visitor with the usual blackbirds who visit to feed. I assume it is a blackbird, but if anyone knows otherwise, I'd love to know.
He tends to be partial to peanut butter on toast!

Nice spot Jan :)
Lovely looking blackbird with leucism. There seems to be a lot of them about these days, but this one is very handsome indeed.
Cheers, Linda.

I often wonder if potential mates find them attractive or not. I'd guess they don't.
there has been one of these by my Dad's house in Reading West for the last two years.

New to my rooftop.
A large 'crane' landed on the roof opposite and was divebombed by 6 seagulls for several minutes. It was a heron. Mostly it ducked, but sometimes it lashed upwards with its beak. My photo is much too distant, wrong type of camera.
This bird is a leucitis blackbird, the pigment in the feathers being affected to drain them of their colour. Sometimes colloquially referred to as the albino blackbird....striking when you see them...
