great to read about people's birdwatch hour,some good some not so good,and it must have been frustrating for those who's gardens were visited by predatory birds.my hour was average,and a few of the regular birds did not visit during that hour,but still enjoyed.we have regular visits from sparrow hawks,but they kept away on our selected hour.they are however beautiful birds,below is a picture i took recently,needless to say there were no other birds feeding,and i would not have minded if she had turned up during my alloted hour.on this occasion she did not make a kill.
