Unfortunately last weekend we had a medium oak & ash tree felled. /due to all the acticity in the garden we were unable to do a decent count.
Will try again next year.
Hi Chrisdy, shame about the tree, have you been able to keep any of it as standing deadwood? If not is there a chance to make some log piles out of the felled timber? Such features are highly desirable from a bird and wildlife point of view!
Keep an eye out for our Make Your Nature Count survey in June and we'll be doing the Big Garden Birdwatch all over again next January!
