I did this on 29th it was strange maybe just an impression but there seemed to be much less bird activity than normal in my garden.
Yes here in Ipswich the birds were not hungry and not showing themselves.

Many thanks for participating in the Birdwatch, even if it did prove to be a bit quieter than you expected! Even though this was the case, we are still really keen to know what you did see in your hour, so if you haven't done so already, please do submit your results!
As the others have said, around most of the UK, the birds seem to be having a much easier winter this year and will be taking full advantage of the mild weather. This means they are not relying on gardens as much as they usually would during cold spells will be foraging on berries, seeds, and even insects, out in the wider countryside.

My count could have been good had i did it on Saturday but i did it Sunday and only came up with 27 Goldies and one Dove :0((( Really peeved.
