So excited - a Goldcrest twitching about in our tree and a Sparrowhawk landing on the crossbar of our birdfeeder pole all in my Big Garden Birdwatch hour! We were missing about 4 blackbirds, a dunnock or two and some finches/tits but these two more than made up for the regulars. So pleased I did it again after missing a year or two.
Wow Paula that's brilliant! They are both sporadic visitors to gardens so you timed that well! I've had a similar result with many of the regulars making a 'no show' but a male blackcap made a brief appearance in some ivy so quite chuffed with that!
