Hawks 0 wood pigeons 8

Whilst not wishing to watch birds being eaten, I'd settle for a few less wood pigeons darkening the sky-fewer helios roaring overehead would also be appreciated. A very enjoyable watch for our first effort. Only a couple of "yes it was.."', "no it wasn't", exchanges so the marriage remains in tact. Our neighbourhood watch magpie did not show up, but a lovely grey heron in flight did. We do need to rethink our seed choice as the fatball has been all the rage for some time, but the seeds-no interest whatsoever.
