Having invested in 5 big "flockers" with 18 perches on each I am rewarded with each perch being fought over every morning. At any one time they are full! Thus about 60 - 80 birds..... Many more wait in the bare branches of my oak and ash trees and they descend at the first opportunity. They get through about 7 kilos of seed a day at this time of year. The chap who delivers the bags of seed (25 kilos each) cannot get over it! I am lucky really. Perhaps next year I should buy yet another "flocker"

Maybe.... but everyone who comes to the house spends more time looking at all the birds on my numerous feeders than actually paying attention to me! I must be mad!
They should learn to form an orderly queue! The British are good at that! They are just wonderful to watch. I started with none and got a small feeder and it took forever for one or two birds to come and then the flocks....
