In the hour here, a real treat, as well as the Great Spotted Woodpecker the Green Woodpecker appeared. The latter is rare in our garden but usually seen in nearby woodland. The big surprise was no Pheasants, they were around a bit earlier then went elsewhere. The Buzzard was out hunting which may have made some of the smaller birds a bit wary, but it did not come into the garden. An hour always gives an interesting snapshot of the birds in the garden and is never predictable.
